Mission
Liberty Paws Inc. is a nonprofit organization that takes a unique approach to reduce the number of abandoned and homeless dogs within Georgia’s local shelters. We believe that every dog deserves a chance to find a loving home, and our role is to provide that opportunity by serving as a Pathway to forever homes. Unlike traditional rescue facilities, Liberty Paws Inc. does not seek to become a shelter where dogs are warehoused. Instead, we collaborate with local county shelters to offer a supportive and comprehensive foster program that provides homeless and at-risk dogs with a bridge from shelter life to permanent homes.
Our Pathways Program is designed to prepare dogs for adoption by placing them in foster care where they receive the love, care, and training needed to thrive in their new homes. This approach helps reduce overcrowding in shelters while giving dogs the best possible start to their new lives. In addition to our rescue efforts, we are deeply committed to strengthening community knowledge on the importance of spaying and neutering. By educating the public about responsible pet ownership, we aim to reduce future cases of abandonment and homelessness, creating a long-term impact in our communities.
